G'day guys
Since coming to this site a couple years back I have never been able to view the photo's on forum topics from my work lap top but can view them at home on my home PC.
Occasionally I can sometimes see pics on new topics, for eg the 2 recent posts by watto56 yesterday (how did you upload your pics?)
I am guessing this has something to do with a security setting on my work lap top or maybe the way in which pics are uploaded by the person creating the post?
Anyone know how I can fix this?
Cheers
AJ

AJ,

Hope I can help. What I did was create a photo bucket account, because to be able to put pics on the web you need somewhere to put them so any one can access them, so if you don't have your own server at home you have to use someone elses . That's what photo bucket is, a place for the public to upload there photos.<a>href="http://photobucket.com/">Visit Photobucket</a>. It's free too. Under the My albums tab of the site once you have logged in, it should be the one that automatically comes up, you can upload your pics by following the prompts. Pm me if u have problems with this and i can send you screen shots. Med is a good size to use. Then under that same tab, ie the page your on the pics u have uploaded should be down the bottom. Put ur mouse over them and a pop up will appear with some text on it. Copy the one in the text box titled IMG code, using right click copy or ctrl+C ( in windows). Then paste into your post. That's the easiest free way to do it. Good luck, hope I explained it ok.

Didn't read ur Q properly.. that  info could help other ppl tho.

I'm unsure of the reason why that is happening. It may be your security settings, or the settings of your browser. Try and look all over these two for setting about viewing images if you haven't already. It might be due to improper uploading by the poster. The most likely case is as I imagine you are using a work internet connection over a network, which is moderated by the network administrator of your IT section. Its most likely that the pics you can not see are too big and are blocked by the programs they use to monitor and control internet usage, so they have control over the download usage. The ones you can see would be too small to be blocked.  Either that or the admin programs are blocking access to the sites that the pics are hosted on. To stop workers using up downloads on personal stuff.

Hope it explains why this might be happening.
